How Peakora builds your training plan
Peakora combines your recent training history with established endurance-coaching principles, including progressive overload, recovery weeks, periodization, tapering, effort-based pacing, and goal-specific long-run development. Walk-run plans draw on the Galloway approach. Plans are generated by AI and checked against Peakora's deterministic training constraints before they are accepted.
Where the plan comes from
Peakora's planning framework draws on commonly used approaches associated with Jack Daniels, Hal Higdon, and Jeff Galloway, adapted into Peakora's own rules and personalized using your declared fitness inputs together with your recent training history — with weight given to the training block you are actually in, rather than to your all-time history.
The plan is checked before you see it
A language model drafts the plan, but it does not get the final say. Peakora applies its own coaching constraints — covering load progression, recovery, periodization, tapering, pacing guidance, long-run development, and race-week structure — and a plan that fails those checks does not reach you.
What Peakora does not claim
Being clear about the limits matters more than sounding authoritative, so:
- Peakora's plans are not scientifically validated, and are not built from a curated library of books or peer-reviewed research. No papers or publications are retrieved or consulted when your plan is generated.
- Peakora does not claim its AI was trained on any particular coach, book, or curriculum. Plan generation uses Google Gemini, whose underlying training data is controlled by Google. Peakora supplies the runtime coaching instructions and constraints, not the model's knowledge.
- Specific thresholds — minimum preparation weeks, load-growth caps, recovery-week reductions, demographic adjustments, and peak long-run distances — are Peakora's own encoded product rules. They are informed by common coaching practice but are not individually attributable to a published source.
- Peakora is not a medical service. It cannot diagnose injury or illness, and it does not replace a qualified coach or healthcare professional. Pain, persistent fatigue, or anything that feels wrong belongs with a professional.
Why we publish this
Plenty of training products imply more rigor than they have. Peakora would rather state plainly what informs the plans, what is enforced in code, and where the limits are — so you can judge the guidance for what it actually is.
